Christmas 2011

was not typical. Christmas Eve I had work...my first time working on a holiday but that's probably something I should get used to eh? Anyhow, I had work and came home around 9 and had traditional Christmas dinner with the family. We then proceeded with our family tradition of opening presents at 12 am instead of the actual morning morning of Christmas day because we're cheaters lol As always, we opened presents one by one, from youngest to oldest. This year the "little kids" as I call them, had it gooooood. The youngest is my brother. This is what I got him:
he then was more than pleasantly surprised with an Xbox and his first Xbox game, Left 4 Dead...which I picked out ;3
Next was my sisters turn in opening her gifts. I gave her what she always wanted: a doll. Yes, a doll. and yes, she is in high school already. I love her.
Last of the "little kids" was my 16 year old sister. Snagged her some expensive ass headphones from Urban that shes always pleaded for. I'm a good sister.

Next was me. I received a great book bag, a golden watch, some clothing, and dolla billz and was perfectly content.
Then my older brother was up. He got from me a fix to his work-out/fitness obsession...work out gear lol.
Mind that i wrapped ALL my siblings gifts in suspiciously undesirable branded bags...for my sisters: Hollister and Victoria Secret bags..my brother: Abercrombie and Fitch LOL I know, I'm a tease. NONETHELESS, they all opened their presents with relief in finding how AWESOME they turned out to be.

I gave my grandmas each a festive brooch and my grandfathers a Nike Golf Cap, a Coffee Mug and a sweater. Lastly, for my parents, I gave them a $50 gift card to the fancy shmancy (pricy) restaurant I work at. I was pretty proud of myself this Christmas because after all that gift purchasing, I was completely broke. It was all worth it of course-Christmas will always be my favorite :) Hope you all had a wonderful one.

Disneyland

this year has brought A LOT of Disney opportune to my life. I love it.
my best friend Carey took me to Disneyland AND California Adventure yesterday. We did everything right. We got the infamous pineapple ice cream. Despite the day-after-Christmas congestion, we managed to strategically avoid all the 65 minute waits and got fast passes that fit a convenient time schedule. I suggest this game plan to whomever enters Disneyland when overly crowded because yesterday was PRESTINE. everything went by smoothly and it was pure perfection. We rode all the good rides: Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, Buzz Lightyear, park hopped and went on California Soarin, the new Little Mermaid ride, Screamin roller Coaster, etc. We planned our times so well that we even had time to shop: I got a Yoda backpack lmao. Carey got Mickey sunglasses yeee. We even got our first Caricatures! Plus we ate some dank food hahaha. Sweet potato fries by Tom Sawyer Island, A Blue Moon and Jalapeno pretzel on Paradise Pier, and Rainforest Cafe. We ended our night with the World of Color which always takes my breath away haaaa. I will forever be a Disney child<3

WatchED the Throne

DEC11/11:
It was my first time at the Staples Center. It was my first time seeing Kanye and Jay Z live. Kanye wore a leather kilt. Jay Z was sufferin from realness LOL they played that song 7 times at the end btw. so basically, THAT SHI WAS CRAY. They played all their best hits and me and my home girls Carey, Ann, and Amanda all drank a long island and hollared our collars off lmao it was truly The Good Life

Where I work

I woke up at 7 am today to volunteer at this charity event called Breakfast with Santa hosted by the restaurant I work at (Salt Creek Grille), Toys for Tots, and this station called Combat Radio. We were able to provide the less fortunate children of our valley: a breakfast buffet, balloon animals, face paintings, a chance to meet some underground celebrities, and take a picture and get a present from Santa. Plus, we were all surrounded by good music from bands and carolers, and characters from Star Wars haha they had Santa hats on. hilarious! Everyone also got to participate in a raffle that offered some pretty good prizes. I actually won a signed soccer ball by Werner Roth. Everyone was also given a lot of freebees: comedy show tickets, autographs (i got one from Uncle Ruckus from the Boondocks), t-shirts, and FOOD lol. It was a very festive and heart warming event. I love the feeling I get after I volunteer and I appreciate where I work more now since they hosted this whole event.
